Catalyzing the African AgriTech Ecosystem by Fostering Partnerships among Startups

Embark on a journey of innovation and collaboration as we celebrate the vibrant launch of the GreenAPI: Smart Agriculture program in Dakar, Senegal! Seven startups and one DAP including Rural Farmer Hub, Riwe Technologies LLC, Manamuz Electric LTD from Nigeria; AGRIXTech, CLINICAGRO SARL from Cameroon; ignitia AB from Ghana, Ict4Dev from Côte d'Ivoire and a Senegalese DAP mLouma converged at the Orange Digital Center for a groundbreaking event curated by Make-IT in Africa and Orange, executed with expertise by the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.

This dynamic initiative aims to propel smart agriculture startups (AGTech) and digital agriculture platforms (DAPs) into impactful business partnerships by equipping them with essential skills for seamless collaboration. The launch event was not just a celebration; it laid the foundation for a harmonious collaboration between startups and DAPs, fostering mutual trust through engaging activities like the Marshmallow Tower spaghetti challenge and insightful exchanges with venture capitalists.

In addition, an enriching exchange session with venture capitalists explored the latest trends and developments in digital innovation in the agri-food sector, as well as the financial landscape, while highlighting what the investors are looking for in startups.

“The exceptional advantage of the GreeAPI program is that, beyond training, it offers the opportunity to connect with other players in the field to share our common vision of Agritech entrepreneurship, develop strategies and forge partnerships across borders, creating a real catalyst for the growth of startups.”
